Preparing for series production and certification
Once the working prototype is verified, we prepare the device for certified low-volume manufacturing. We handle design for manufacturability and the certifications it needs.
What production readiness includes
- ✓Design for manufacturability (DFM): adjustments for efficient, reliable manufacturing
- ✓Compiling manufacturing documentation and the bill of materials (BOM)
- ✓Arranging CE, FCC and other certifications depending on the target market
- ✓Coordinating low-volume manufacturing, including quality control
From a working sample to repeatable production
A working prototype may still need changes before multiple units can be manufactured. We review manufacturing files, the bill of materials and assembly instructions. Component availability, device programming and testing each finished unit also need a clear process.
All documents must refer to the same revision. This helps prevent component substitutions or programming the wrong firmware. Within the agreed scope, we coordinate board manufacturing, assembly and device completion.
Testing and technical documentation
We prepare documentation and support testing according to the project requirements. The scope depends on the device functions, operating environment and intended market. Necessary changes should be addressed before ordering a production batch.
At handover we distinguish manufacturing files from documentation for operation and maintenance. The deliverables and responsibilities for subsequent steps are confirmed before the project begins.
