Assignment and problem
We are developing ORBIS, a player positioning device for a laser tag arena in Prague. The customer needs to track fast-moving people in an enclosed space full of obstacles, including when players move behind them, and smoothly display their positions on a 3D map. They commissioned the complete development process, from the feasibility study to small-series production, including CE certification.
Our solution
ORBIS tracks players with an accuracy of 15 cm. Our solution combines custom hardware, control firmware and visualisation software that will run on a screen inside the arena. It will display player movement on a 3D map, enhanced with game elements designed to create an engaging experience. We are developing the electronics and software as an integrated solution tailored to the arena and its gameplay.
